When students are accepted into the HEC upward Program they are committed to attending two Saturday classes out of the month. The Saturday Academy's goal is to help provide students with tutor, but extra assistance to better prepare them for college. The day starts at 8:00am and ends around 1:15pm.
Students are scheduled to have three classes, lunch is provided and a group activity in the afternoon.
HEC Upward Bound is part of the TRiO programs. Upward Bound is a collaboration of school, college and community. The mission of HEC Upward is it exists to provide the necessary training, opportunities, and resources to ensure students successfully enter and complete post-secondary education.
