Speaker Series
Throughout the summer program, academics and activities were only some of the good times we enjoyed. Students and staff also had the incredible privilege of hosting several speakers, and they certainly left their marks on us.
Our speaker series allowed an amazing group of local professionals to share words of wisdom with our young people. Topics ranged from self confidence and self presentation to college tips and teamwork.
The array of topics reflected the various professions from which each speaker came. We heard from a STEM educational advocate, a professor, a professional dancer, an actress/stage director, a motivational speaker and author, law enforcement officials, and others. Regardless of their fields, they all came to encourage, motivate, and inspire HEC Summer Academy students.
